About the role
Provides behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning to patients and families. Collaborates with healthcare teams to support emotional, mental, and substance abuse disorder management, including crisis intervention and therapy.
Responsibilities
- Conducts assessments to identify behavioral health issues and develops comprehensive treatment plans.
- Delivers individual, group, marital, family, and grief counseling using appropriate interventions.
- Participates in multidisciplinary teams, offering a professional counseling perspective.
- Documents assessments, interactions, and interventions adhering to organizational standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; Master’s Degree in counseling or related field required.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required.
- Preferred: three years of experience in crisis intervention, therapy, and working with behavioral health clients.
