About the Role
Provides behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, discharge planning, and consultation to patients and families, supporting them and the healthcare team in coping with hospitalization, illness, and emotional, mental, or substance abuse disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conducts behavioral health assessments to identify patient issues.
- Develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans using appropriate interventions.
- Provides crisis intervention, individual, marital, family, and group therapies, including grief support.
- Participates in multidisciplinary teams, offering leadership from a counseling perspective.
- Documents assessments, interactions, and interventions in accordance with organizational standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Master’s Degree in counseling or related field required.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required.
- Preferred experience in crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and working with behavioral health clients.
