Behavioral Health Counselor - Outpatient, Full Time

About the role

Provides behavioral health assessments, diagnoses, and treatments to support patients and families in coping with hospitalization, illness, and mental health issues.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans, including crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapies, as well as grief work.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams, offering leadership from a counseling perspective.
• Documents assessments, interactions, and interventions according to organizational standards.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required; Master's Degree in counseling or related field required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required.
• Preferred experience includes three years of crisis intervention and therapy with behavioral health clients.
