About the Role
Provides behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, discharge planning, and consultation to patients and families, supporting their emotional, mental, and substance abuse needs.
Responsibilities
- Conducts behavioral health assessments to identify patient issues and develop treatment plans.
- Implements appropriate interventions, including crisis, individual, group, marital, family, and grief therapies.
- Participates in multidisciplinary teams, offering leadership from a counseling perspective.
- Documents assessments, interventions, and interactions per organizational standards.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; Master’s Degree in counseling or related field required.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required.
- Preferred: Three years of experience in crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, with behavioral health clients.
- Experience in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, intervention, and family education is desirable.
