Behavioral Health Counselor - Outpatient, Full Time

About the Role

Provides behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, discharge planning, and consultation to patients and families, supporting their emotional, mental, and substance abuse needs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts behavioral health assessments to identify patient issues and develop treatment plans.
• Implements appropriate interventions, including crisis, individual, group, marital, family, and grief therapies.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams, offering leadership from a counseling perspective.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and interactions per organizational standards.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; Master’s Degree in counseling or related field required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required.
• Preferred: Three years of experience in crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, with behavioral health clients.
• Experience in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, intervention, and family education is desirable.
