Behavioral Health Clinician III
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for all eligible Behavioral Health Clinicians. Eligible candidates must be hired into a full- or part-time position. Bonus amount is prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth members are ineligible until greater than 3 months of separation from employment.
Schedule
40 hours per week, full-time, day shift.
Requirements
- Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Masters Social Worker - Clinical Conditional (LMSW-CC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor - Conditional (LCPC-c), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Conditional (LMFT-c).
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP), or the National Addiction Studies Accreditation Commission (NASAC).
- Licensed as LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR).
- At least three years of behavioral health experience as an independently licensed clinician.
Responsibilities
The Behavioral Health Clinician III, working under an independent license, provides comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
- Providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Demonstrating specialized skills in three out of nine advanced skills domains, such as Teaching, Quality & Process Improvement, Research, and Supervision/Mentoring.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $77,147.20 to $104,353.60 per year. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
