Behavioral Health Clinician – Crisis Assessment & Care Navigation (Bilingual Spanish Speaking)

About the role
As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you’ll manage crises, provide in-the-moment phone support to clients with complex behavioral health issues, ensure client safety, and connect clients to high-quality, evidence-based providers and facilities. This position does not involve in-person services or therapy but focuses on supporting clients in connecting to care, exclusively by phone and email. This role is ideal if you are an excellent written and verbal communicator, skilled in crisis management, and passionate about connecting individuals to care. Comfort with adopting new technology platforms and a growth mindset are essential.
Schedule
You must be available to work one of the following shifts:
- Tuesday - Saturday: 9:30am - 6pm PST (10:30am - 7pm MT / 11:30am - 8pm CT / 12:30pm - 9pm ET)
- Sunday - Thursday: 9:30am - 6pm PT (10:30am - 7pm MT / 11:30am - 8pm CT / 12:30pm - 9pm ET)
Weekends include a 10% shift pay differential. This role is fully remote, but candidates must be physically located within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Use evidence-based interventions to manage client crises, conduct brief risk assessments, create safety plans, and de-escalate situations with the goal of connecting clients to treatment.
- Identify roadblocks to clinical care options using Lyra’s proprietary software and other methods to connect clients to ideal treatment based on their specific needs and preferences.
- Independently manage a caseload of complex, multi-need clients.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in clinical social work or equivalent; LCSW or equivalent independent clinical licensure (e.g., LMFT, LPC, LPCC) is required, or a Bachelor's degree in nursing (RN). Supervised hours toward licensure are not provided. Candidates without a state license to deliver mental health services independently will not be considered (except for RN license).
- 2+ years of psychiatric intake, assessment, or related experience.
- EAP/clinical call center experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) required.
- Significant experience managing high-risk clinical situations (e.g., suicidality, mandated reporting).
- Must be a full-time resident of the United States; work cannot be completed from outside the U.S.
Pay
The anticipated base rate for this full-time position is $41 per hour. The base rate is determined by role, level, and job-related factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
