Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist - Crisis Care
Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist 2 provides rapid, community-based mental health crisis interventions for individuals experiencing acute behavioral, emotional, or substance use crises. This role frequently dispatches with EMS/911 and delivers psychiatric emergency services across the Emergency Department and community. The position requires advanced assessment, de-escalation, and clinical decision-making skills to ensure immediate stabilization and safety.
Minimum Qualifications For The Job
- Education: Masters degree in social work or behavioral sciences in a licensable discipline by the Alaska Behavioral Regulatory Board.
- Experience: One (1) year of experience as a behavioral health counselor.
- Certification(s): Refer to Mandatory Education Policy upon hire and complete required certifications within the grace period.
- Licenses: Active State of Alaska LCSW license. Must have a valid Driver's License.
Pay Information
Internal Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms. External Hires: This position starts at $39.86 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
