About the role
Provides support and stabilization services to clients in the Walk-in Center and Crisis Stabilization Unit. Offers peer and crisis support services, information, education, and support for clients. Promotes wellness, recovery, and skill building through group and individual interventions.
Full-time night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Provides training and interventions in both group and individual settings, focusing on the improvement of the client’s functioning and health-related issues.
- Obtains vital signs and reports results to nursing.
- Completes 15-minute safety checks.
- Provides assistance, supervision, and interaction to clients throughout the work shift.
- Inventories, documents, and secures client belongings.
- De-escalates clients using evidence-based de-escalation training (e.g., Therapeutic Options), including safety holds as necessary.
- Uses basic technology for data entry and documentation of vital signs and shift notes.
- Obtains CPR, First Aid, and AED training to provide assistance to clients as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; Certified peer recovery specialist preferred.
- One year of relevant job experience required, preferably in a mental health-related field. Education/experience equivalency may be considered upon approval.
Skills
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Basic computer skills.
- Skill in crisis intervention (preferred).

Pay
Pay range: $15.00 – $21.00 per hour.
