About the role

We're looking for multiple Behavioral Health Advocates to join our Youth Recovery Center team! Must have a passion for working with teenagers! We have multiple openings for days/evenings/nights/weekends! Interns welcome to apply!

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintains clients' progress in treatment by providing group and individual education.
  • Affords assistance with social skills training, aftercare planning, and individual assignments.
  • Assesses level of risk and makes appropriate clinical judgment for the resolution of client emergencies, resulting in a safe outcome.
  • Serves as supervisor to ensure clients comply with program rules, guidelines, and directives.
  • Participates in evaluation of clients’ progress in weekly staff meetings and daily shift change.
  • Assists in clients’ treatment planning.
  • Encourages client motivation through one-to-one meetings.
  • Completes required documentation on clients including observations of behavior changes in clients and accomplishment of treatment goals.
  • Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services to enhance support of the milieu.
  • Intervenes with behavioral concerns and encourages clients’ social skills.
  • Transports clients to community activities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in certified addiction counselor training and complete Certified Addiction Specialist/Technician credential within 2 years of hire.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Skills

  • At least 21 years of age.

Pay

Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience. Annual Bonuses based upon organizational and individual performance.
