Behavioral Health Academic Neurologist

About the role

The Department of Neurology at the University of Louisville/University of Louisville Health System, in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking applications for a BC/BE fellowship trained behavioral academic neurologist to join their faculty.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a primary care provider for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Educates patients, families, and staff on neurological conditions and treatments.
• Participates in the multi-disciplinary care of patients within the Brain and Spine Institute.
• Provides assessment, management, and outcome evaluation for patients in the outpatient setting.
• Requires approximately eight weeks per year of inpatient general neurology service.

Qualifications

• Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Eligible to be state licensed in the United States.
• US residency or fellowship training.
• Outstanding communication, bedside manner, and professionalism.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• A strong work ethic and capability for effective collaboration.
