Behavioral Neurologist
About the role
The Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology & Alzheimer's Disease and the Ken and Ruth Davee Department of Neurology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine jointly announce the search for a full-time behavioral neurologist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in the non-tenure-eligible Clinician Educator career track. Opportunities for leadership roles are available. There are also opportunities to join or initiate research programs in intervention trials, brain imaging, cognitive neuroscience, and neuropathology as they relate to aging and dementia.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in behavioral neurology and related areas.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to research initiatives in behavioral neurology and related fields.
- Collaborate with other departments and institutions to advance knowledge and treatment of cognitive disorders.
Requirements
- MD degree or MD/PhD equivalent.
- Board certified/eligible in Neurology.
- Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Fellowship training in behavioral neurology and UCNS certification are desirable.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in behavioral neurology.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring medical trainees.
- Interest in research and collaboration.
