About the Role
As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in empowering our clients and their families with personalized service that supports independence and success.
- Assisting in the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Working closely with a team of clinical experts to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Providing one-on-one therapy sessions, as well as group therapy sessions, in a home-based setting
- Collecting and recording data on client progress and behavior, and providing feedback to the treatment team
- Collaborating with parents/caregivers to identify and implement strategies to support their child's overall development and well-being
Responsibilities
- Implement ABA therapy plans, including functional skills training, social skills training, and adaptive skills training
- Utilize various behavioral interventions to address client behaviors, such as reinforcer-based strategies and errorless learning techniques
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of client progress, including data collection and reporting
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of client treatment plans
- Provide ongoing training and support to parents/caregivers on strategies to implement and generalize skills learned during therapy sessions
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Certification in CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
