Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Meet with parents to support their parenting needs and set goals
  • Teach parents how to track their child’s development using the CDC Milestones
  • Collaborate with center staff to provide wrap around supports for parents
  • Connect parents with career and college resources, to include AACC
  • Observe children in the childcare classroom weekly
  • Use the CDC Milestones to track development and also develop activities to use during observations with children
  • Collaborate with childcare staff to support families
  • Facilitate monthly group sessions on parenting topics
  • Develop plans, gather resources
  • Support teen parents to set goals for post-graduation
  • Connect center staff with AACC resources and staff
  • Facilitate annual field trip to AACC

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse students and families
  • Strong understanding of child development and family systems
  • Knowledge of community parenting resources and services
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
