Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Meet with parents to support their parenting needs and set goals
- Teach parents how to track their child’s development using the CDC Milestones
- Collaborate with center staff to provide wrap around supports for parents
- Connect parents with career and college resources, to include AACC
- Observe children in the childcare classroom weekly
- Use the CDC Milestones to track development and also develop activities to use during observations with children
- Collaborate with childcare staff to support families
- Facilitate monthly group sessions on parenting topics
- Develop plans, gather resources
- Support teen parents to set goals for post-graduation
- Connect center staff with AACC resources and staff
- Facilitate annual field trip to AACC
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Ability to work effectively with diverse students and families
- Strong understanding of child development and family systems
- Knowledge of community parenting resources and services
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
