Child Behavior Specialist

About the role

The Child Behavior Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting children and families in a therapeutic setting. They provide individual and group therapy sessions, implement behavior modification plans, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with children and families
• Develop and implement behavior modification plans based on individual needs
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and parents to support holistic care
• Evaluate progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in child behavioral therapy
• Licensed or licensed eligible to practice in the state
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of child development and behavioral theories
• Experience working with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
