About the role
The Child Behavior Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting children and families in a therapeutic setting. They provide individual and group therapy sessions, implement behavior modification plans, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with children and families
- Develop and implement behavior modification plans based on individual needs
- Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and parents to support holistic care
- Evaluate progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in child behavioral therapy
- Licensed or licensed eligible to practice in the state
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of child development and behavioral theories
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
