Requirements

  • Meet all health, physical, and background check requirements
  • Current Tennessee Teaching Certificate in at least one area of Special Education or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credentials
  • Successful teaching or other relevant experience addressing behavior for students with disabilities
  • Broad knowledge of and ability to apply all Special Education Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to interventions, programs, and placement of eligible students with autism and/or moderate to severe behavioral and/or emotional problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with students, school administrators, teachers, other professionals, support staff, parents, and the community
  • Ability to take direction, work both on a team and independently
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and work on a flexible schedule
  • Sufficient computer and word processing skills to maintain records and complete required documents and paperwork
