Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests with a friendly, welcoming approach (10ft smile, eye contact, wave; 4ft warm greeting)
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Engage guests to understand their needs and preferred level of service; ask open-ended questions to provide appropriate recommendations and drive sales
• Prioritize guest interaction while completing tasks such as organizing product, ensuring stock and signage accuracy, maintaining pricing, cleaning and maintaining testers and sampling supplies, and completing salesfloor merchandise display updates
• Encourage guests to explore beauty with confidence by keeping the area clean, testers available, and surprising and delighting them with product samples
• Participate in ongoing store training focused on new products, industry trends, product knowledge, guest engagement techniques, and business priorities
• Familiarize yourself with prestige product ingredients and benefits; leverage training resources, product packaging, in-store marketing, and store tools
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible

What We Are Looking For

• Enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and fellow team members
• Thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key
• Open to working a variable work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)
• 12+ months previous beauty retail experience preferred, but not required
• Strong interest and knowledge of beauty and skincare products
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequencies devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
• Effective communication skills
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframe
• Accurately handle mobile POS operations as needed
• Climb up and down ladders
• Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance
• Variable work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
