As a Beauty Studio Advisor, you bring the Beauty Studio experience to life through personalized recommendations, product demonstrations, beauty expertise, and authentic guest connections. You inspire discovery and confidence by making beauty approachable, inclusive, and easy to shop by helping guests explore trends, find solutions tailored to their needs, and build routines that fit their lifestyle and budget. Through meaningful, service-led interactions, you create memorable experiences that drive guest loyalty, basket-building, and sales growth.

• Driving guest loyalty through exceptional service and inspiring experiences that build trust and repeat visits
• Providing personalized beauty products and regimen recommendations through guest engagement, product knowledge, sampling events, and service-led selling
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions strategies
• Beauty product knowledge including beauty brands, seasonal trends, cosmetics, skincare products, and fragrance
• Leveraging digital tools and AI-powered resources to enhance the guest experience and personalize recommendations

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by:
  • Greeting guests at 10ft (smile, make eye contact, or wave) and at 4ft (initiate a warm, helpful interaction)
  • Helping guests find what they need and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience
  • Ending every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Engage guests genuinely to understand their needs and preferences; ask open-ended questions to provide appropriate recommendations, product knowledge, and drive sales
• Prioritize guest interaction while completing studio tasks such as:
  • Ensuring product is organized, in stock, and signed correctly
  • Maintaining accurate pricing
  • Cleaning and maintaining testers and sampling supplies
  • Completing changes to sales floor merchandise displays
• Encourage guests to explore Beauty with confidence by keeping the area clean, testers available, and surprising them with product samples
• Participate in ongoing store training focused on new products, industry trends, product knowledge, guest engagement techniques, and business priorities to support continuous development and sales performance
• Familiarize yourself with prestige product ingredients and benefits; leverage training resources, product packaging, in-store marketing, and store tools
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct them where possible
• Perform all other duties based on business needs

Requirements

• Enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members
• Thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem-solving are key
• Open to working a variable work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times)
• 12+ months of previous beauty retail experience preferred, but not required
• Strong interest and knowledge of beauty and skincare products
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
• Ability to communicate using multiple frequencies devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
• Effective communication skills; work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Accurately handle mobile POS operations as needed
• Climb up and down ladders
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance
• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing job duties
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
