Working Title: Beauty Shop Manager
Salary: $3,917.00 - $4,906.00 per month. New state employees are hired at the minimum salary of the classification.
Location: Fresno County (DSH - Coalinga). This position is in-office and full-time, limited term for 12 months.
About the Role
Under general direction of the Program Assistant, the Beauty Shop Manager supervises and coordinates patient beauty services at DSH - Coalinga, a secure psychiatric hospital primarily serving forensically committed patients, including sexually violent predators.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the operation of patient beauty services.
- Perform beauty services for patients requiring special attention.
- Record observations of patient behavior.
- Arrange and supervise maintenance of Beauty Shop equipment.
- Plan and conduct training programs to teach basic beauty knowledge and skills to interested patients.
Benefits
- All state civil service employees are currently subject to the Personal Leave Program (PLP), which reduces the monthly gross salary by 3% but provides approximately 5 hours of PLP leave credits each qualifying pay period. This program is in effect through June 30, 2027.
