About the role

The successful applicant will be part of a team of six, responsible for managing a grouse moor with a focus on shooting grouse. In addition, the job involves accompanying estate guests' roe and red deer stalking, so a good knowledge of stalking will be advantageous.

A small number of pheasants and ducks are released to facilitate a winter shooting programme, therefore the successful applicant will require experience of training and handling gundogs to an acceptable standard.

Responsibilities

• Manage a grouse moor with a focus on shooting grouse
• Accompany estate guests' roe and red deer stalking
• Train and handle gundogs to an acceptable standard
• Work alone and have a personable manner

Requirements

• Driving licence
• Both shotgun and firearms certificates

Salary

Salary is commensurate with experience.
