Our Tech Advisory and Delivery Chapter within BCG Platinion helps clients solve some of their most challenging problems through the development of superior IT concepts and tech solutions. The ideal candidate is both passionate as a consultant and technologist, and can bring their expertise to help develop customized, innovative client solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert, critical thinker, and innovator for clients, driving practical solutions rooted in IT expertise.
  • Gather and evaluate information to build data-driven, insightful paths for clients.
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams, establishing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Navigate ambiguity confidently, working through undefined challenges to guide organizations forward.
  • Act as a change agent, aligning and onboarding teams to implement new processes, toolsets, and IT best practices.
  • Influence stakeholders by building trust and effectively communicating across business and IT teams to drive positive change.
  • Leverage AI and agentic technologies daily to deliver high-impact outcomes and tackle complex challenges.
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for larger, complex modules within BCG projects, developing specialized knowledge to solve client problems.
  • Create strategies for change, win buy-in for recommendations, and collaborate with BCG teams to transform client potential into performance.
  • Manage, support, and coach junior team members while serving as an individual contributor.
  • Help clients address strategic digital and technology questions, such as AI disruption, data analytics, omnichannel experiences, and agile delivery.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise Supporting AI and Digital Transformation:
    • AI and agentic platforms.
    • Data and digital analytics platforms.
    • Cloud infrastructure and technologies.
    • Data management capabilities.
    • Enterprise tech platforms.
    • Business IT architecture.
    • Software and product management (including Agile ways of working).
    • Tech, enterprise architecture, and data governance.
  • Experience with Tech/AI/Digital Offerings:
    • Developing roadmaps and current state assessments for IT and AI/Data organizations in large companies.
    • Orchestrating technical program delivery across business stakeholders, complex vendor landscapes, and technology ecosystems.
    • AI/LLM cost optimization and FinOps.
    • IT benchmarking and recommendations for IT cost take-out initiatives.
    • Developing future state tech vendor landscapes, vendor assessments/selections, automation, tech cost benefits analysis, eCommerce, and platform valuation and design.
    • Supporting tech functions during mergers and acquisitions, including functional and technical transformation of IT departments.
    • Communicating differences and benefits between cloud providers and strategies for migrating from on-premise architecture.
    • Utilizing working knowledge of GenAI and its potential use cases to deliver practical and visionary solutions.
  • Experience Leading AI-Powered Product Design and Delivery:
    • Defining AI product vision, roadmaps, and prioritization frameworks grounded in domain-specific workflows and business value.
    • Translating business strategy into AI-enabled product concepts, functional specifications, and delivery plans.
    • Leading agile product delivery, including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative development.
    • Owning product quality assurance to ensure outputs meet functional, technical, and compliance requirements.
    • Defining product/solution architecture and data integration patterns.
    • Designing and overseeing integration of AI and generative AI capabilities into enterprise workflows at scale.
    • Defining data strategy and governance requirements for production-grade AI products.
    • Leading design of agentic workflows and automation use cases, balancing innovation with operational feasibility.
    • Leading vendor evaluations and platform selection processes for AI product tooling.
    • Driving change management and adoption strategies to embed AI products into business operations.
    • Optimizing business and IT processes within complex, matrixed organizations and communicating paths forward for clients and stakeholders.
    • Delivering data and digital platforms using Agile, DevSecOps, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Specific AI Product Domain Expertise (Preferred):
    • FP&A & FinOps:
      • Lead design and delivery of AI-powered products with subject matter depth in core finance processes (e.g., FP&A, financial close, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash).
      • Understand underlying finance systems (e.g., ERP, CLM, EPM) and data (e.g., GL, Orders, Invoices, Contracts, Plan/Forecast).
      • Deploy AI use cases ranging from operational quick wins (e.g., AI chat-enabled reporting insights) to strategic transformation (e.g., AI order-to-cash automation).
    • Supply Chain / S&OP(E):
      • Lead design and delivery of AI-powered products with subject matter depth in supply chain processes (e.g., demand planning, inventory optimization, procurement, logistics, fulfillment).
      • Understand underlying systems (e.g., ERP, MES, APS) and data (e.g., BOM, Orders, Inventory).
      • Deploy AI use cases ranging from operational quick wins (e.g., stockout detection) to strategic transformation (e.g., agentic S&OP transformation).
    • Go-To-Market (GTM):
      • Lead design and delivery of AI-powered products with subject matter depth in GTM processes (e.g., marketing, sales, customer success, revenue operations).
      • Understand underlying systems (e.g., CRM, CMS, CPQ, SPM) and data (e.g., Customer, Lead/Opportunity, Order/configuration, Territory/Quota).
      • Deploy AI use cases from operational quick wins (e.g., lead scoring, outreach automation) to strategic transformation (e.g., AI-native revenue operations).
  • Written Communication:
    • Lead creation of client-specific strategic materials, surfacing key insights from technical experts.
    • Codify messaging and data into presentable materials efficiently—accuracy and speed are critical.
    • Synthesize wide-ranging conversations and artifacts into clear, action-oriented recommendations.
    • Assist with business development through writing proposals and scoping projects.
    • Contribute to thought leadership through written publications and speaking at events.
  • Presentation and Facilitation:
    • Present materials, case updates, and escalations to client and internal teams.
    • Facilitate technical and strategic working sessions and workshops.
    • Provide direction and feedback to team members.
    • Build relationships with key clients.
  • Team Management:
    • Manage junior team members by defining and organizing their work modules and analyses.
    • Mentor and coach junior team members through development agreements and growth opportunities.
    • Provide quality assurance oversight by reviewing output for correctness, insight, and clarity.
    • Promote a positive experience for junior staff and serve as a role model for BCG’s culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, economics, supply chain, logistics, system engineering, business management/administration, or a relevant field.
  • 5-8 years of practical experience in AI/tech consulting, product management, professional software development, or product and program implementation.
