Responsibilities
- Work directly with teens (grades 8-12) to create impactful, fun, and dynamic programming.
- Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies that build and grow their chapters to exceed membership and engagement goals.
- Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars, ensuring a consistent and sustainable programming cadence.
- Be present at chapter events and meetings, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship as the adult in the room.
- Ensure chapter participation in region-wide initiatives (e.g. Kickoffs, RLTI, and convention).
- Ensure chapter participation in organization-wide initiatives (e.g., BBYO Summer Programs, ILN, and IC).
- Track and analyze chapter data, including attendance, engagement, and membership trends, to inform strategy.
- Create relationships and maintain communication with members, parents, and community partners.
- Participate as a member of the regional team to bring innovative ideas and best practices to the community.
- Participate in monthly professional development with fellow Chapter Specialists.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 3 years removed from high school.
- Role has in-person responsibilities. Candidate must live within or close to Charlotte.
- Active participation at local chapter programs is required. Chapter program on average 2-4x a month.
- Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events.
- A creative and responsible self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration with teens.
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without holding a visa or sponsorship.
- Must be available for fall and spring conventions (dates to be discussed during interview).

$18 per hour
