The MS/HS Band Director will lead the band program at Battle Creek Lakeview School District. This position oversees the development and implementation of the band curriculum, manages the band ensemble, and provides musical direction and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of the band curriculum

• Attend district and state band conferences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in music education or related field
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate
• Experience leading a high school band
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Teaching experience preferred but not required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Knowledge of band techniques and repertoire
