Three Rivers Community Schools: MS/HS Band Director

About the role

The MS/HS Band Director will oversee the music program at three high schools and one middle school in the Three Rivers Community Schools district. The position includes conducting ensembles, developing curriculum, and managing student activities.

Responsibilities

• Conducting band ensembles and adjudicating at state and regional competitions
• Developing and implementing music education programs
• Maintaining relationships with local music organizations and community partners
• Managing student activities and extracurricular programs
• Collaborating with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field
• Proven experience as a band director at the high school level
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Experience with music theory and pedagogy
• Knowledge of band repertoire and performance techniques
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and community members
