Quincy High/Middle School: Band Director

About the role

The Band Director will lead the band program at Quincy High/Middle School, overseeing music instruction, ensemble performance, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum for students in grades 6-12.
• Conduct rehearsals and performances for the school band, including solo and ensemble competitions.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music education into the broader school curriculum.
• Engage with the community through outreach programs and events.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in music education or a related field.
• Experience teaching band at the secondary level.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse student body.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and community partners.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
