About the role
Entry-level service technician responsible for routine maintenance on industrial batteries and supporting field service operations. Emphasizes safe, accurate execution of basic service tasks, adherence to safety standards, and development of technical and customer service skills. Works under supervision with increasing independence.
Responsibilities
- Performing battery inspections, watering, cleaning, voltage checks, and diagnostics.
- Executing scheduled service routes safely and efficiently.
- Recording service data accurately and completing work orders and documentation.
- Supporting field technicians on service calls and installations.
- Operating vehicles, forklifts, and reaching trucks safely.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory responsibly.
- Ensuring safety compliance, promoting company services, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Preparing products for shipment, maintaining a clean workspace, and performing safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic understanding of electricity/electronics; training provided.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions.
- Attention to detail, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, with basic proficiency in communication tools and Microsoft Office.
Preferred: 2+ years in battery or technical field service; prior customer service experience is a plus.
