Bath Aide Long Term Care, Monday-Friday, Full-Time Positions

About the role

A Bath Aide is responsible for assisting residents or patients with bathing, hygiene, and personal care needs. This role helps maintain residents' dignity, comfort, and overall health by ensuring proper hygiene and monitoring skin integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing (bed bath, shower, tub, or whirlpool) while maintaining privacy and dignity
• Provide personal hygiene care including grooming, oral care, hair care, and skin care
• Observe and report changes in skin condition or overall health to nursing staff
• Assist residents with dressing and undressing
• Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, and transportation to bathing areas
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bathing environment
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA policies
• Document care provided and communicate resident needs or concerns to nursing staff

Additional support duties include assisting with meals or hydration, changing linens and maintaining resident rooms, assisting with toileting and elimination needs, and supporting residents' independence and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• CNA certification often required (varies by facility/state)
• CPR certification may be required
• Ability to safely lift, move, and assist residents
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment

Typically works in long-term care, hospital, or assisted living settings. The role requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and assisting residents.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 6am-3:30pm. Note that there may be times when the bath aide will be utilized as an aide on the floor instead of in the role of the bath aide.
