Basic Sciences Adjunct Faculty

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topics
• Participate in assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods as assigned
• Promote an appropriate atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students' needs
• Serve on TOUROCOM committees as assigned.
• Provide reports, budgetary information, and other documents as requested by Department Chairs, Directors, and Deans
• Advising and mentoring students
• Participate in medical student admission interviews

Qualifications

• Graduate level degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Physiology
• Proficient in relevant content expertise, research techniques, instructional design, delivery and assessment, course management, psychometrics/statistics, learning theory, public speaking, effective communication, conflict management
• Basic computer skills supporting the proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Powerpoint, Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as software used to prepare and administer written exams electronically

Physical Demands

• Able to lift 5lbs.

Salary Information

Minimum Salary: USD $120.00/Hr.

Maximum Salary: USD $150.00/Hr.
