BAS Technician

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturers' recommendations, in accordance with company standards and contract documents.
• Perform calibration and check-out of control systems and ensure that specified sequence of operations and commissioning obligations are met.
• Assist the graphics coordinator and/or provide labor and expertise for the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces when required for projects.
• Instruct client/customer personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems and energy conservation routines.
• Monitor BAS systems, equipment performance, and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot, install, service, or program building automation systems.
• Assist in the commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems.

Requirements

• Two or more (2+) years of DDC/BAS control system start-up, checkout, and service experience.
• Valid driver license.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, and energy management.
• Programming and troubleshooting skills with ABB, Siemens, KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell, and other equivalent systems.
• Experience with pneumatic controls.
