BARTENDER / SERVER - RESTAURANT

About the role

At Crescent Hotels & Resorts, you will join the Food and Beverage team at the newly opened Courtyard/Residence Inn by Marriott Poplar Creek Complex. The position involves serving beverages and food, preparing bar items, handling cash transactions, and maintaining bar inventory and cleanliness to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
• Prepare beverages for other servers and act as cashier for the bar.
• Maintain proper bar set‑up, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily projections.
• Cut, store, and maintain fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests courteously, take drink orders, and document them accurately.
• Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes while practicing prudent portion control.
• Handle all cash and credit‑card transactions using the point‑of‑sale system, creating a check for each guest and maintaining accountability for all beverages served.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience as a bartender.
• Current food handler and TIPS certification (or equivalent).
• Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to superior customer service.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, to accommodate personal scheduling needs.
