Blue Bell County Club is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in working in an upscale private country club. Restaurant bartenders and servers must be able to create a pleasant atmosphere by being attentive to our guests and have a complete knowledge of our menus and offerings. The role includes bartending duties as well as assisting on the floor to serve food to guests during service hours. Positions can be full‑time or part‑time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner.
- Greet guests with a warm smile to make them feel welcome.
- Take customers’ food and drink orders while being polite, friendly, and helpful.
- Suggest appropriate substitutions, wine pairings, sides, etc.
- Confirm orders according to your assigned section and tables.
- Replenish drinks and wine and provide coffee/dessert services in a timely manner.
- Maintain clean tables and bar efficiently.
- Cater to guests’ requests and needs promptly and professionally to ensure a superior level of customer service.
- Handle all member charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
- Perform all assigned side work.
- General clean‑up (bussing of plates, glassware, silverware, etc.).
- Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct.
- Notify and report any problems or concerns to management.
- Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies are stocked.
- Prepare garnishes, mixes, and pre‑mixed drinks.
- Assess customers’ food and beverage needs and preferences and make appropriate recommendations.
- Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to pre‑approved recipes.
- Process payments/checks accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain daily inventory and records of liquors, beers, and wine.
- Clean and close up according to prescribed procedures.
- Report to the Restaurant Manager.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience bartending.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Previous experience in a county club setting (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food and beverage preparation, and etiquette.
- Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays (Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and other special events).
- Abide by all laws and company policies that regulate serving alcoholic beverages.
- RAMP Certification.
- Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies and rules.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Arrive punctually in full uniform with a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Frequent hand washing for proper food handling.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Able to lift up to 25 lb without assistance and over 50 lb with assistance.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
