Bartender | Part-Time | Megacorp

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to meet company standard for excellent in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus, providing service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages according to proper procedures, including state/federal regulations.
• Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirit varieties, and suggestively upsell products to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly, adhering to company standards for serving size.
• Verify minimum age requirements for purchasing alcoholic beverages by checking guests' IDs.
• Communicate with customers, addressing their requests or concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations, contacting management or security if necessary.
• Contact management if unable to resolve issues beyond standard decision-making scope.
• Request additional product or restock as needed.
• Handle cash accurately.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work station at all times.
• Ensure bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Bartending school preferred.
