Bartender - Part Time

About the role

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, responsibilities include consistently offering professional, engaging, and friendly service while creating a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of wine and cocktails offered
• Beverage inventory management
• Bar set up, tear down, and preparation of garnishes and mixes
• Stool and service bartending
• Cash handling
• Provide responsible service of alcohol
• Assist guests with inquiries
• Review daily reports, arrivals, VIPs, and in-house groups
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in a fast-paced, high-end bar or luxury property, or substantial Fairmont food & beverage experience (minimum of 6 months) in a high-volume bartending capacity
• RAMP Certified and Mixology certification an asset
• Operational knowledge and proficiency in Point of Sale System
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while collaborating as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Must have proof of valid U.S. work authorization

Physical Demands

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
• Ability to stand and be mobile for up to 8 hours
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently
