Essential Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Ice, mix, garnish and present drinks, according to the standards set forth by the company.
• Inputting orders into a register at the Point of Sale system.
• Receiving cash, coupons, and credit card from the guest, making any change needed, verifying validity of charges, recording charges, and ensuring vouchers are properly executed in order to balance bank.
• Maintaining proper and adequate set up of the bar on a daily basis.
• Following proper closing procedures, locking up and storing beverages, condiments and other equipment items, depositing cash drops, and securing bank.
• Responsible for loading/unloading glasses from bar dishwasher, as well as, polishing all glassware.
• Ensuring maintenance of equipment by calling for repairs.
• Performing all assigned side work.
• Performing any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned, to adhere to health standards.
• Performing any other tasks as assigned by the Food and Beverage Management and the Director of Food and Beverage.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Open availability is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have good knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of most alcoholic beverages.
• At least 2 years of high-volume bartending experience is required.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate our Point of Sale system, ability to make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
