About the role
As a Bartender Non-Tipped at Sodexo, you will provide exceptional customer service, and mix and serve drinks to patrons, directly or through waitstaff, quickly and without waste. Bartenders must work well with waitstaff and other employees to ensure customers receive speedy service.
Responsibilities
- Greets customers, mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and creates recipes for drinks with appropriate garnishes.
- Ensures the assigned bar area is fully equipped with the tools and products needed to mix beverages and serve customers.
- Prepares accurate starting counts and issues inventory or purchase orders as needed to replenish supplies.
- Bartenders must be cordial, diplomatic, and attentive when dealing with customers.
- Significant amount of walking or moving by other means.
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time, throughout the duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements.
- Attends work and reports for scheduled shift on time, with sufficient regularity.
- Other duties may be assigned and may vary between accounts, depending on business needs and client requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience.
- Must be at least the minimum age required to serve alcohol or work as a bartender according to local and state regulations.
- Ability to prepare a wide range of drink recipes and mix drinks correctly is preferred.
Schedule
Varying shifts, days/hours, and some weekends/holidays. More details will be provided during the interview process.
Pay
$8.75 per hour - $15 per hour. University students with restrictions on number of hours they can work, including international students, should apply for open student worker positions at the school they attend.
