This position is located at Club Stewart, Fort Stewart, GA. Open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S., including Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
About the role
Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. This role supports military and civilian personnel and their families within the Fort Stewart community.
Responsibilities
- Mix and serve a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Record sales, make change, or prepare charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
- Stock bar and maintain inventory of beverages; submit restocking requirements to supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar, utensils, equipment, and work area.
- Monitor quantities of beverages dispensed and receive/check incoming stock.
- Use tact and courtesy to deny sales to unruly or intoxicated patrons.
- Direct and monitor the work of other bar staff as needed.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Complete a minimum of 4 hours of initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment, with 4 hours of refresher training annually.
- Subject to a Tier 1 background investigation and satisfactory completion of a physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages, meeting state/local age requirements at the time of appointment (projected: 09/10/2026).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
Qualifications
- Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.
- Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Pay
This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. Incentives and bonuses are not paid for this position.
Schedule
Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible positions are available. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials are not paid.
Area of Consideration
Open to candidates in the local commuting area (within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included.
