Bartender/FOH server
Part-time position with potential for full-time hours.
About the role
This position requires a motivated individual who is polished, personable, and has a strong team-oriented work ethic with a positive attitude and passion for customer service. Firehouse Que and Brew is a fast-paced, high-energy, moderately noisy environment containing multiple personality types. The role can become busy and high-pressure, especially on weekends and during special events.
Pay
Starting hourly pay of $16.90 plus tips.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction throughout each shift.
- Be familiar with promotions, sales, and assist with dining events.
- Answer questions and make recommendations regarding the food menu, beer, and wine selection.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
- Wash and sterilize glassware.
- Support customer and front-of-house needs.
- Handle guest requests and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service and all applicable regulations.
- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to the dress code.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity while retaining focus on hospitality and a positive guest experience.
- Show initiative, including anticipating customer or operational needs.
- Perform other related duties as requested by management and/or that support the team.
- Charge purchases accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system.
- Accept customer payment, process credit card charges, and make change.
- Assist with the restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
Requirements
- Food handlers card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 1+ years of bartending/serving experience.
Qualifications
- Solid customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours.
- Must be able to remain organized and calm during high-volume shifts.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual accuracies.
