About the Role

The Bartender at The Breakers Palm Beach is responsible for welcoming guests with energy and enthusiasm while providing top-notch service by preparing and serving beverages in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with guests to provide a personalized, memorable bar experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with energy, enthusiasm, and a friendly demeanor
• Prepare and serve beverages in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
• Read guests' individual needs, connect and converse with guests to provide personalized service and create a memorable bar experience
• Maintain organization and impeccable cleanliness of the bar and work area
• Adhere to food safety standards
• Open bar and set up for service
• Take drink and food orders
• Prepare all beverage orders according to The Breakers standards
• Ring all orders on the point-of-sale system
• Handle payment accurately
• Maintain responsibility for the restaurant bank including handling cash sales, employee tip out, and bank drop

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of bartending experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Must have knowledge of different types of alcohol and be able to make various classic and modern cocktails
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
