About the Role

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is located in the famed Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. As part of a new development, the hotel features 436 luxury accommodations, including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units, along with 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space. Amenities include a lobby-level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool, 3 whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area.

Bartenders at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The role emphasizes creativity, conversation, and the opportunity to build on your personal style and previous bartending experiences. You should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards while maintaining an attractive bar. Preferred candidates will have an understanding of state and local serving guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages to guests with a focus on quality and presentation.
• Provide customized drink recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Maintain an attractive and well-organized bar area.
• Adhere to state and local alcohol serving guidelines and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
• Engage in casual conversation with guests while delivering efficient service.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current Alcohol Server Certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency.
• Food service and/or other relevant certifications as required.
• Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Experience with mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards.
