BARREL MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN - SWING

Reports to: Director of Machining Operations
Full-time, Monday–Thursday swing shift

About the role

This is an entry-level position responsible for operating, milling, and drilling machines, grinders, and lathes in our machine shop. Barrel Manufacturing Technicians load and unload materials, maintain part quality by recording measured dimensions, and ensure continuous operation of various CNC equipment. The role requires strong attention to detail, precision, and the ability to follow work instructions diligently.

Responsibilities

• Operate various CNC mills and lathes
• Maintain part quality
• Keep work area and machines clean and organized
• Change out damaged or worn tools as necessary to maintain part quality
• Clock in and out of work orders, accurately recording production numbers
• Check output for quality assurance and document or discard defects
• Identify need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs
• Maintain a safe and clean workstation
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
