About the role

The Market Barista will provide service in the grab-and-go cafe located on the property. This position is responsible for fulfilling guest orders, preparing beverages in accordance with menu standards, and maintaining a welcoming and clean environment. Additional duties include ordering, restocking, room delivery of orders, and preparing food and beverage orders at The Market. The Barista will use the POS system to capture orders and process payments. Special tasks or deliveries may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill guest orders in a fast-paced environment
• Prepare beverages and food items according to menu standards
• Maintain a clean and welcoming cafe environment
• Order and restock inventory as needed
• Deliver orders to guest rooms
• Operate the POS system to capture orders and process payments
• Perform special tasks or deliveries as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (about 25 pounds)
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Possess a food handlers’ card and alcohol serving permit

Pay

The salary range for this position is $21.57–$28.04 per hour, with a starting rate of $21.57. Individual salaries will be based on experience, qualifications, and education.
