About the Role
Under the direction of the Rise Restaurant Assistant Manager, the Coffee Bar Attendant provides customers with prompt service and quality food and beverages while ensuring a positive guest service experience.
Responsibilities
- Greets and takes guest orders in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Prepares hot and cold food orders (e.g., coffee and espresso drinks), including sandwiches.
- Collects various forms of payment to process orders using the cash register and makes accurate change.
- Keeps service area, guest tables, and storage area clean, sanitary, and organized at all times.
- Handles and resolves any concerns or questions customers may have or relays guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate Assistant Manager on duty.
- Performs all side work and stocking of supplies at assigned station and maintains all food service carts in the outlet.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service and/or coffee bar/barista, as well as in cashiering/money handling preferred.
- Ability to deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere guests want to return to, providing a positive and memorable entertainment experience.
- Commitment to going above and beyond in accomplishing position responsibilities to support organizational goals.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
- The department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, taste, or smell.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy.
- May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all employment practices to Native Americans.
