BARISTA - 2nd Shift

About the role

Responsibilities

• Takes direction from Assistant and General Managers.
• Serves as a retail ambassador for Twice Daily and White Bison brands.
• Performs basic math functions to collect payments, make accurate change, and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
• Reports to work on time, ready to work scheduled shifts.
• Keeps the store and bar area clean and orderly, including bathrooms and fuel dispensers.
• Maintains stock of clean mugs, plates, and necessary equipment.
• Checks brewing equipment for proper operation and reports necessary maintenance needs.
• Complies with health and safety regulations.
• Answers guests' questions about ingredients and maintains a proficient knowledge of food intolerances and allergies.
• Takes orders, paying attention to small details and requests (e.g., coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios).
• Prepares beverages following recipes and requests.
• Serves beverages and prepares hot/cold food such as cookies, pastries, and muffins.
• Stocks items and participates in marketing promotion efforts.
• Memorizes product locations throughout the store and provides customer suggestions as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to serve guests, communicate, and handle cash transactions effectively.
• Accountability, reliability, and punctuality.
• Sufficient visual ability to check identification and process credit cards.
• Able to lift and stock inventory weighing up to 50 pounds (e.g., cases of milk, beer, soda).

Qualifications

• Prior experience with professional cash handling procedures (preferred).
• Prior experience in a C-Store and/or food service environments (preferred).
• Desire for a long-term career in retail services (preferred).
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply (preferred).
