BARISTA - 1st Shift

Responsibilities
- Takes direction from Assistant and General Managers
- Serves as a retail ambassador for Twice Daily and White Bison brands
- Serves as a cashier, performing basic math functions to collect payments, make accurate change, and maintain an accurate cash drawer
- Reports to work on time, ready to work scheduled shifts
- Keeps the store and bar area clean and orderly, including bathrooms and fuel dispensers
- Maintains stock of clean mugs, plates, and necessary equipment
- Checks brewing equipment for proper operation and reports and maintains necessary maintenance needs
- Complies with health and safety regulations
- Answers guests' questions regarding ingredients and maintains a proficient knowledge of food intolerances and allergies
- Takes orders, paying attention to small details and requests (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios, etc.)
- Prepares beverages following recipes and requests
- Serves beverages and prepares hot/cold food such as cookies, pastries, and muffins
- Stocks items and participates in marketing promotion efforts
- Memorizes product locations throughout the store and guides customers while providing suggestions, as needed
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to serve guests, communicate, and handle cash transactions effectively
- Must be accountable, reliable, and punctual
- Must have sufficient visual ability to check identification and process credit cards
- Must be able to lift/stock inventory weighing up to 50 pounds (lifting cases of milk, beer, soda, etc.)
Qualifications
- Prior experience with professional cash handling procedures is preferred
- Prior experience in a C-Store and/or food service environments is preferred
- A desire for a long-term career in retail services is preferred
- Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply

- Day Shift: 5 AM - 1 PM (1st Shift)
- Evening Shift: 1 PM - 9 PM (2nd Shift)
- Weekend Availability Expected
- Overtime Availability (Optional)
