About the role
Part-time bariatric surgeon position with a national wound physician group, offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.
Clinical responsibilities
- Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
- Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities
- Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states
- Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals)
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
- Visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
- Complete clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound specific EMR
Training
- Physician level wound management training and wound fellowship provided for clinical excellence
- Paid training during onboarding plus 6-month wound care fellowship
Schedule
- Part-time role: minimum of 3 weekdays per week
- Full-time role: 4-5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm)
- No call / no weekend clinical responsibilities
- Routinely a 45-hour work week for full-time positions
- Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice (Virginia)
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
Compensation
- W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
- W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship available)
