About the role

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Part-Time Bariatric Surgeon to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings across the Springfield, IL area. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care in real-time during clinical rounds using proprietary wound-specific EMR

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Training

• Physician-level wound management training provided during onboarding
• 6-month wound care fellowship included
• Learn from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Practice details

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm)
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
• No call / no weekend clinical responsibilities
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available)

Pay

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
