Bariatric Surgeon

About the role

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Part-Time Bariatric Surgeon to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings across the Indianapolis, IN area. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Indiana
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4-5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm)
• No call / no weekend clinical responsibilities
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location

Training

• Paid training provided during onboarding plus 6-month wound care fellowship
• Physician-level wound management training from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors

Pay

W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits. This is a W2 employment contract; no work visa sponsorship is available.
