Position Summary The Barback is responsible for stocking, organizing, and maintaining bar supplies while assisting bartenders in delivering efficient, high-quality service to guests. The Barback works behind the scenes to anticipate needs, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Stock bar items, including beverages, garnishes, glassware, and paper productsRefill ice bins and monitor supply levels throughout the shiftAnticipate bartender needs and provide timely assistance to support smooth serviceMaintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, storage rooms, and equipmentArrive to work on time, prepared, and ready to set up as directedAdhere to company policies, operating standards, and safety proceduresDeliver prompt, efficient, and quality support to ensure outstanding guest serviceAssist with closing duties, including restocking and breakdown of bar stationsMaintain a professional appearanceUnderstand and be capable of ensuring that all policies and procedures are followedPerforms other duties as required and/or assigned Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position Qualifications Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectationsMust be personable, friendly and welcomingKnowledge of bar operations, service standards, and basic food & beverage preparationMust be able to create and serve drinks and food in a timely mannerMust maintain a well-groomed appearance and good personal hygiene standardsSubject to credit and background screening Education And/Or Experience High School diploma or GED requiredPrior experience in a bar, nightclub, or restaurant environment preferred Skills And Abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust be personable and proactive in providing guests with the highest level of customer serviceAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented and high energy setting, and take direction from supervisorMust be able to work independently and in a team environment, interacting with multiple departmentsAbility to read, speak, and write English languageMust be able to communicate in a clear manner with guests and teammatesMust be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have or obtain and maintain ServSafe training certification PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
