Bar Porter - Steakhouse

About the Role

The Bar Porter maintains a high standard of customer service while ensuring the assigned bar is stocked and clean.

Responsibilities

• Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, coolers, and other bar appliances in accordance with Hard Rock policies.
• Ensures bar is set properly.
• Ensures all soda gun products, fruit garnishes, and mixes meet service standards.
• Stocks assigned bar with product and supplies throughout the shift.
• Prepares all mixes and garnishes.
• Acknowledges, greets, and converses with customers who approach the bar.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a bar porter and/or bar back in a casino, high-volume nightclub, or high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Must have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required.
• Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift and work inside assigned bar areas in the venue.
• Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

The casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public.

Pay

Pay Range: $2 - $25/hourly
