Bar Porter

About the role

The Barback maintains adequate levels of bar supplies and equipment, ensures a high standard of cleanliness in bar areas, and supports high-caliber service to customers under the direction of the Beverage Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain bar area supplies, equipment, and removal of empty or soiled articles.
• Ensure ample supplies of glassware, napkins, straws, ice, and garnishes are available during service periods.
• Complete all established bar setup duties in a timely manner.
• Perform work assignments directed by bartender or beverage management.
• Follow sanitation practices and procedures to keep bars and related equipment clean, sanitary, and odor-free.
• Adhere to food and beverage department regulations and procedures.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be reliable, dependable, and well-organized with good personal hygiene habits.
• Ability to stand, walk, and demonstrate high-mobility for a majority of the shift.
• Regularly speak and listen to internal and external customer directions or orders in varying noise conditions.
• Transit across surfaces that may alternate between carpeted and hard surfaces, including slippery or sloping floors and stairs.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel small objects and reach with hands and arms overhead and from side to side.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Frequently transit between brightly lit and dimly lit areas, including flashing lights and computer or TV screens.
• Bend, lift, and carry supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds; use, push, and pull wheeled hand-carts or other equipment weighing in excess of 100 lbs.
• Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, and twist at the waist.
• May occasionally be exposed to bodily fluids, pet or service animals, strong odors, tobacco, and secondhand smoke.
• May occasionally use de-escalation techniques to resolve customer conflict.
• Assist in customer evacuation in case of emergency.
