Responsibilities
- Attend pre-shift meetings punctually with a positive attitude and participate openly
- Deliver an exciting environment and World Class Service by providing Old-World Hospitality and Charm, and by living the company core values
- Comply with department standards, guidelines, and objectives including adherence to all Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards
- Properly stock and maintain the bar with necessary supplies
- Assist bartenders with replenishing supplies when needed
- Provide consistent high-quality food and beverage service to all guests by adhering to sequence of service standards
- Safeguard company assets and adhere to all policies and procedures
- Create teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures including strict adherence to attendance and appearance guidelines and confidentiality regarding guest information
- Practice all alcohol awareness policies and procedures
- Maintain a clear and organized work area, cleaning as you go and cleaning spills immediately
- Use chemicals as prescribed and responsibly; ensure all chemicals are in properly labeled containers
- Maintain floor cleanliness and always use “wet floor” safety signage when floors are being cleaned or wet
- Remove trash and waste, clean trash cans and replenish with liners as needed
- Ensure items being disposed of are appropriate and report all breakage
- Perform deep cleaning of the bar
- Operate dish machine and complete daily maintenance
- Fill ice and maintain storage area cleanliness and organization
- Assist with special event setup and breakdown
- Assist the bartender in putting supplies away adhering to the 5S Principles: “Sorted,” “Set in Order,” “Systematically Cleaned,” “Standardized,” and “Sustained”
- Behave in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as a professional, courteous, and responsive manner that reflects positively on the company and its core values
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, business periodicals, instructions, correspondence/memos; author reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Attention to detail and accuracy; maintain confidential information
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs
- Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends and overtime as business needs dictate
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs; ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces

$13.77–$15.30/hour
